Capsule Geology

A northwest trending belt of Paleozoic and/or Mesozoic felsite and meta-andesites with tuffaceous and argillaceous interbeds lies between the Denali Fault and Coast Plutonic Complex intrusives south of Kelsall Lake. The metavolcanics contain epidote, quartz and cal- cite as well as quartz veinlets with chalcopyrite and pyrite in vugs and hairline fractures.
